THE WINTER WALTZ
MOONLIGHT STUDIOS CHICAGO
The 2023 Winter Waltz was our first-ever holiday bash and it was an absolute blast! We set out to start a new festive tradition for our community, and judging by the packed dance floor, we nailed it. Our Opportunity Knocks partners joined in the fun, and together we danced, laughed, and celebrated the season in style. Best of all, a portion of the money raised is helping power future initiatives for the incredible Warriors at Opportunity Knocks. Cheers to making memories and making a difference!

SUMMER KICKBACK
PARK & FIELD CHICAGO
We kicked off Summer 2024 with a classic Chicago patio party! The sun was shining, drinks were flowing and guests were loving the delicious buffet. Yard games, prizes, and good vibes made it a perfect day. Best of all, it was in support our amazing community partner, Opportunity Knocks. What a way to start the summer!

Our second annual holiday bash was nothing short of a festive extravaganza and was another mile marker for us, being the first event we raised $100K! With twinkling lights, delicious food, live music, and plenty of dancing, the night was filled with holiday cheer. Even better, a portion of what we raised is helping further Opportunity Knock’s mission to empower individuals with different abilities. It was the perfect way to celebrate the season and make a real impact!

Our fundraising events have humble roots in tournament-style play, bringing people together with a little competition and a huge impact! NYFF’s Softball Tournament marked a day full of camaraderie, fierce competition, and champions, all in support of the Kelli Joy O’Laughlin Memorial Foundation and in loving memory of our classmate Kelli, whose joy continues to touch our lives through events like these.

BELLA BANQUETS
In 2018, we moved from the field to the ballroom with our first big banquet-style event! We danced the night away in honor of our classmate Kelli, and in support of the Kelli Joy O’Laughlin Memorial Foundation. The support we received from our sponsors, community members, and everyone who made this night possible has remained a cornerstone of our fundraising success.

The first Night Out event was such a hit, we had to do it again! In 2019, we were back at Bella Banquets dancing, laughing, singing our hearts out, and making unforgettable memories. All of it in support of Kelli Joy O’Laughlin Memorial Foundation. By the end of the night, one question was on everyone’s mind: when and where will the next NYFF event be?!

The 2020 NYFF Winter Classic was our very first SOLD OUT event and wow, what a night! We’re still in awe of the incredible love and support from our amazing community. This event was more than just a milestone—it was a celebration of joy, connection, and everything we stand for. And the best part? It was all in support of Kelli Joy O’Laughlin Memorial Foudation.

After a little break, NYFF came back strong with our Night Out event at a local down town spot and let’s just say, the vibes did not disappoint. It was so good to be back, reconnecting with our amazing community, sharing laughs, and raising money for the Kelli Joy O’Laughlin Memorial Foundation. A night out with purpose? Yes, please!

99TH FLOOR WILLIS TOWER
Our events kept leveling up and 2022 was one for the books! The September Soiree marked our first-ever collab with the awesome team at Opportunity Knocks, and we took things sky-high at none other than Chicago’s iconic Willis Tower. With the city lights sparkling around us, live music in the air, and the best crew of people to celebrate with, the night was pure magic. It left us inspired, grateful, and more excited than ever for what’s next!

As our partnership with Opportunity Knocks kept growing, so did our love for this city! In 2023, we took over the Chicago Riverwalk for our Summer Shindig because what’s better than a luau-themed hangout along the water? Sunshine, tiki vibes, and amazing people made it the perfect way to soak up a summer day while giving back to our community. Chicago, you never disappoint!
